Closing Circle

MATERIALS NEEDED: A strong rope, DVD, laptop with DVD player, projector.

PARTICIPANTS: Four separate peer groups.

SPECIAL INFORMATION

Don’t forget to read ‘Before You Begin …!’ before using this section of the manual.

INTRODUCTION

1. Sit in a circle with the group, preferably on the ground. Everyone should be at the same level, including yourself.

2. Welcome everyone to the new session. Thank everyone for coming. Enquire about late-comers or non-attenders.

3. Ask each participant to recount quickly something good which has happened to them since the last session.

4. Review the last session. Ask participants to remind us what we learnt about accepting responsibility for our actions. Remind them if they have forgotten. Ask a few people to describe briefly how they have used the four-point plan during the week. Thank and praise those who share their experiences with the group.

5. Explain that we are going on to discuss other things in this session, but will start with a fight!
